What is a mole or skin tags?
Moles are brownish spots on the skin made up of pigment cells called melanocytes which produce pigment melanin in skin. There are different types of moles such as those present at birth and those that appear after. The vast majority of moles are safe or benign (non-cancerous) however it is important to get moles checked by the doctor before removal.
Skin tags are made of loose collagen fibres and blood vessels surrounded by skin. Skin tags are small, soft, skin coloured growths that hang off the skin and can look like warts.
