PLATELET-RICH PLASMA (PRP)

Derma Pen/Derma roller

What is Derma roller?
Derma roller is an advanced procedure in which it uses a device which is a small roller with tiny needles
How does it work?
The therapist will numb the area with topical anaesthetic cream. Once this has taken effect, the treatment involves applying a small roller made with tiny needles on the surface of the skin. The roller creates tiny punctures channels on the skin which encourages collagen renewal and regeneration response.
What can it treat?
Fine lines and wrinkles, acne scars, stretch marks and pigmentation.
Does it hurt?
We apply topical anaesthetic cream on the treatment area.
How many treatments will I need?
Its recommended to have a course of three treatments every 6-8 weeks apart.

Platelet-rich Plasma (PRP)

What is PRP?
Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy involves injection of the patient’s own platelets and fibrin for cosmetic treatment of wrinkles or scars in the face, hands and neck. It can also be used for many other areas such as for rejuvenating hair thinning.
What is PRP treatment used for?
• Skin rejuvenation • Hair loss treatment • Anti-Aging treatment • Post laser
How does the treatment work?
In the first consultation you will meet with the clinician and discuss the treatment, your goals and the procedure itself. Once you are satisfied, the clinician will take a small amount of blood from your arm using a small needle. The vial of blood is then placed in a centrifuge and spun very fast causing the platelet rich plasma to separate from the other blood cells. Before treatment the clinician will apply local anaesthetic to numb your treatment area. The clinician will then clean the area and inject the platelet rich plasma into, and around, the area you wished to be treated. Immediately following the treatment you will notice a little swelling from the injected fluid.
How many treatments will I need?
Each person’s body reacts differently to any treatment which means that responses to treatments vary. We will advise you on how many treatments are needed dependant on your requirements and skin type. Generally, people have between 1 and 3 sessions and your appointments will be 4 to 6 weeks apart. There is no limit to the number of PRP treatments you can have but on average results last up to 18 months. Touch-up treatments will maintain the results.
Are there any side effects?
No, there are no side effects as you are using your own bloods platelets however it is possible that a person may have irritation related to the injection site which will subside.

Skin Peels

What is a Chemical Peel?
A chemical peel is a great facial treatment that will significantly improve and smooth the texture of your face by removing the damaged outer layers of your skin. It has been proven to help wrinkles, acne scars, uneven colouring on your skin and even skin spots.
How does the treatment work?
The therapist will apply chemical solutions onto the skin. When applied to the skin these acids interact with proteins causing exfoliation and peeling of the skin. Different acids will cause peeling at different depths.
What are the benefits?
• Helps exfoliate skin and makes it smoother • Minimises sun damage and hyperpigmentation • Reduce acne marks and blemishes • Soften fine lines
How many peels will I need?
The number of treatments will be dependent on the condition of skin prior to peel as well as the type pf peel used.

Is it suitable for me?
Thread Lift is suitable for men and women in their 30’s to 60’s who have mild to moderate drooping, lines, and wrinkles in the forehead, face and/or neck. It is best suited for those who want to enhance the appearance without resorting to invasive surgery. In your consultation the clinician will assess in order to provide the best result.
Does it hurt?

Do the threads need to be removed at a later date?
